Founded in 2021, run like a family
Three experienced teachers, a licensed home in Escondido, and one belief: care and movement together give a child their foundation.
Ms. Xia Gu
Xia Gu founded Seven Little Bears in 2021, building on years of hands-on care for young children — and wanting to give her own child the same kind of care. As both a parent and an educator, she knows what high-quality early childhood care asks of the adults in the room.
Her training in early childhood education, alongside law school studies, shows up as structure: a home that is loving and organised, with age-appropriate activities that give each day shape.
She puts particular weight on physical education — a strong, healthy body is where self-confidence begins. Through movement, children build strength, coordination and resilience, and with them curiosity, confidence and kindness.
She also works closely with families, keeping communication open so that a child’s needs are met the same way at home and here.

Ms. Liang
A warm, dedicated educator with more than ten years caring for children. Having raised four of her own, she reads children quickly and pairs that instinct with real professional judgement — children in her care feel loved and safely held.

Ms. Narmada
Attentive and deeply responsible, with a background in mathematics education. She has a gift for making numbers and new vocabulary feel simple and fun, breaking big ideas into pieces a three-year-old can hold.

Values we can actually be held to
Child at the centre
Every child is naturally curious and creative, able to build their own understanding of the world. Play and physical activity are how that happens, so they are the foundation of our program — not the reward at the end of it.
Each child is unique
Interests, strengths and needs deserve to be respected and supported. Children learn best when engaged, motivated and challenged at their own developmental level, so activities flex to the child rather than the reverse.
A healthy body first
Age-appropriate sport and movement build coordination, strength and endurance — and teamwork and confidence with them. We want children to genuinely enjoy moving, because that habit outlasts us.
Learning is holistic
Cognitive, social, emotional and physical growth are one thing, not four. Children learn by being actively involved, working with others and connecting what they do to the world outside.
Families are partners
We build real relationships with families, respect their backgrounds and beliefs, and involve them through steady communication and participation.
Joy is the measure
A day should be fun and meaningful. That is how curiosity, creativity, confidence and physical health take root — and how a love of learning lasts a lifetime.
Every child is a little seed, and with love, care and learning, they grow into strong, beautiful trees.
