Seven Little Bears Family Childcare was founded in 2021 by Ms. Xia Gu, a dedicated mother of two with years of hands-on experience caring for children. As both a parent and an educator, Xia Gu deeply understands the importance of high-quality childcare and early education in shaping a child’s future.

With a background in Early Childhood Education and a strong foundation in law school studies, Xia Gu combines her passion for nurturing young minds with a thoughtful and organized approach to caregiving. Her education and experience enable her to provide not only a safe and loving environment but also one that promotes structure, growth, and learning through age-appropriate activities.

Xia Gu places a special emphasis on the role of physical education in a child’s development. She believes that building a strong and healthy body is the foundation for fostering self-confidence. Through engaging physical activities and a focus on movement, children at Seven Little Bears are encouraged to develop their strength, coordination, and resilience—qualities that contribute to their overall growth and self-assurance.

Her approach is centered on fostering curiosity, confidence, and kindness in every child she cares for. She believes that the early years are crucial in laying the foundation for lifelong success, and her goal is to provide children with the tools they need to explore the world with wonder and resilience.

At Seven Little Bears Family Childcare, we believe that every child is naturally curious and creative, with the ability to build their understanding of the world around them. We know that play and physical activity are the primary ways children learn and grow. That’s why our program is centered around the child, using play and movement as the foundation to provide a safe, nurturing, and inspiring environment where they can explore, experiment, and express themselves.

We recognize that each child is unique, with their own interests, strengths, and needs that deserve to be respected, valued, and supported. We understand that children learn best when they are engaged, motivated, and challenged at their own developmental level. So, we strive to offer a variety of play and physical activities that not only support their growth but also resonate with their cultural backgrounds and adapt to their evolving interests and abilities.

We place a special emphasis on physical fitness because we believe that a healthy body is the cornerstone of a child’s overall development. Through age-appropriate sports and physical activities, we help children build coordination, strength, and endurance, while also fostering teamwork and confidence. Our program is designed to ignite their love for movement, ensuring that they enjoy and benefit from both play and physical exercise.

We believe that learning through play and movement is holistic, integrating cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. Children learn best when they are actively involved in their learning, working together with others, and connecting their experiences to the world around them. That’s why we encourage children to play, explore, move, and reflect under the guidance of our skilled and knowledgeable educators.

We also believe that parents and families are essential partners in a child’s learning and development. We are committed to building strong relationships with families, respecting their diverse backgrounds, values, and beliefs, and involving them in their child’s learning through ongoing communication, collaboration, and participation.

In short, Seven Little Bears Family Childcare is dedicated to providing every child with a joyful, fun, and meaningful learning and physical activity experience. We aim to nurture their curiosity, creativity, confidence, and physical health, laying a strong foundation for a lifelong love of learning and a healthy lifestyle.
